The University of Leicester is part of a consortium making up the NERC/DIUS Centre for Earth Observation Instrumentation. In 2007 Leicester is working on novel designs for compact UV/VIS spectrometers, concepts for CO2 lidar systems, and organising challenge workshops to bring together key community figures to identify future opportunities in Space-borne Earth Obsevation.
