How good is AATSR?

The in-flight performance of the AATSR instrument is continuously monitored by the engineering team at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory. Recent results of the monitoring activity are summarised on the RAL EDS website .

 

But how good are the data?

The quality of the data products and their accuracy are continually being monitored by the AATSR validation team, led by the validation scientist at the University of Leicester. The validation programme and recent results are summarised here.
